ANNUAL & OTHER TRAINING SUPPORT

IST provides online required training that meets all requirements found in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

Following completion, you will have certifiable records ready for your DSS inspection.

 Training is available from any PC – (home or office or both), anywhere in the world that has Internet access.

  • ISTpros is on-line, interactive training with quizzes. The annual and initial training and derivative marking training meets
  • NISPOM 3-107 requirements.
  • These on-line interactive training courses
  • Are web-accessed anywhere, anytime by your employees removing administrative burden and concern by FSOs;
  • Meet NISPOM 3-107 training and derivative marking training requirements.
  • Are interactive and provides testing to determine retention of information;
  • Provide printed Certificates of Completion to the student and FSO if needed;
  • The company POC or FSO (or both) can monitor training, student status, and print out completion reports anytime on-line.

There are two types of required training:

  1. Annual Refresher Training as required per NISPOM Chapter 3-107 required annually of every person
    who holds a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance; (see footnote)
  2. Derivative Classificaition Training as required per NISPOM Chapter 4-102d,
    implimented through ISL 2013-06 dated October 4, 2013 (see footnote).

b. A defensive security briefing.
c. An overview of the security classification system.

e. Security procedures and duties applicable to the employee’s job.
